How to Work From Home with Kids Part 1

1- Time Block

For time-block to work, you have to be realistic.

For instance, schedule around your kid’s routines so that you can either…

A- be productive when they’re busy playing or sleeping, etc. OR

B- set out time to tend to them without interrupting your routine.

Especially when they’re still little or if they need a little more attention.

Remember when they take naps, need a snack, or even a snuggle.

2- Prioritize

Make sure that you first figure out what is more urgent to get done each day.

If it’s not that important then it can be completed on a different day.

The point is to be productive without being overwhelmed.

3- Create a To-Do List

Be sure to create a list of things to do for each individual day.

When you do this, it eliminates the uncertainty of not knowing where to start.

Instead, you know exactly what is going to get done on any given day.

Also, be sure to create a to-do list for the kids as well.

4- Stick to List/Routine

For the aforementioned list to serve its purpose, you have to stick to it.

Try your hardest not to do anything that is not on that list.

At least not too much, we all know things aren’t perfect and sometimes the unexpected happens.

Especially when working from home involves your little ones.

Working in a  clean workspace makes everything so much better.

Always maintain your desk free of clutter, trash, even dust.

The cleaner and more organized, the better.

This includes the kid’s toys and other things they love to leave behind.

6- Wake Up Early

This is very important and can make all the difference.

Wake up early but also have a reasonable bedtime.

If you get a good night’s rest, you wake up refreshed and ready to conquer your day.

That also applies to the little ones.

Keeping a really good routine is priceless.
